I can't help but wonder how much better we'd all be off if we all had our own garden and had time to tend that garden. Most gardener's are much healthier, physical-wise and maybe mentally too.

They not only eat better than the general population as a whole, but gardening provides a lot of exercise that gardeners normally wouldn't get if they didn't have their gardens to tend to. And think of all the money they save. No real need for gym memberships when you're lugging around a wheelbarrow most of the year. And all of the shoveling and hoeing. Wears me out just thinking about all of it.

And have you seen the prices of food lately? Almost makes me want to try growing all of my own food from here on out. I don't know if I could handle that much gardening though, but at least it sounds like a challenge. OK, if you want to try growing everything your family eats you're probably going to need some gardening tips to help you out along the way. At least try to make your food gardening adventure fun. Enjoy your time in the garden and maybe it will help restore some sanity to this insane world. Until next time....
